Ubud Muay Thai Special Event: “TRIMURTI, Thriving the Limitless Power”

On 5th May 2021, Ubud Muay Thai commemorated its 3rd anniversary under the theme of “TRIMURTI, Thriving the Limitless Power”. The theme was based upon the fundamental awareness about the importance of collaboration in this digital era, with the aim of accelerating Ubud Muay Thai’s mission; as well as helping to contribute to boosting the local economy affected by the pandemic. This collaboration is benchmarking the three united Divine powers of the greatness in Sang Hyang Widhi amongst Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva which strengthens the universe within the concept of Trimurti. The special event was held to promote the principle of openness and increase togetherness among its stakeholders and communities involved.

The audience started coming and mingling before Ubud Muay Thai’s 3rd birthday event officially started. Hosted by Rusnani Anwar as the MC, TRIMURTI event brought together Ubud’s business actors, representatives of local communities, opinion leaders in Ubud, and loyal customers, who remain loyal every step of the way in Ubud Muay Thai’s progress in accomplishing its mission.

Rusnani introduced the two people who have been playing roles as the founders behind Ubud Muay Thai, they are Adiyoso Maruto Sasongko (Ocho) as the Founder and Edsar Buno (Edsar) as the Co-Founder. With a massive passion for Martial Arts since 2008, both of them have manifested Ubud Muay Thai not just as an ordinary Muay Thai camp, but furthermore as a community full of openness, diversity. and personalized programs which set it apart from the Martial Arts camps or similar fitness centers in Ubud.

Next, the audience was served with videos about trainers and facilities in Ubud Muay Thai; whereas the founders shared more about Ubud Muay Thai’s consistency towards its vision and mission that has been going for 3 years. Those are fundamental elements that have been upholding Ubud Muay Thai as the first and top choice in Ubud, which provides healthy living alternatives to Ubudians. Apart from the camp’s milestones, Ocho and Edsar also shared more about Ubud Muay Thai’s hopes and plans for the future.

“Ubud Muay Thai will continue to strive in providing classes that focus on Muay Thai as well as the best strength training in Ubud so that anyone who comes to our camp can create a better version of himself. That's why, Ubud Muay Thai plans to create new programs to support this.” -Ocho.

Edsar went along further to share more knowledge about the camp’s facilities, new classes, and new possibilities for open collaborations with Ubud business actors –who have also been affected by the pandemic– and with communities across Ubud. This collaboration option has indirectly created as well as provided inspiration to MSME (UMKM) actors to remain enthusiastic in facing the pandemic together.

After the Q & A session and testimonial video from various clients, attendees were blown away by a live Muay Thai demo by Oco and Edsar; to show how credible and serious both the Founders took their martial arts skills into this passionate Ubud Muay Thai. Attendees were encouraged to explore the camp’s various facilities and areas for more detailed information and hands-on experience – where they then could sign up for classes or programs launched with special packages and prices; before mingling with various tenants present for the event.

Since its establishment in May 2018, Ubud Muay Thai has served as a forum for Ubudians, both locals and visitors, who want to stay in shape, maintain their health, and support each other in achieving the finest of inner strength from within.

Ubud Muay Thai continues to implement health protocols at the camp before, during classes, and after classes end. Not only checking body temperatures of arriving staff and clients, but also regularly conducting sanitation for training equipment and in camp areas. This is a pledge of Ubud Muay Thai's active participation to fight off the spread of COVID-19.
